Action Potential
Welcome
Abrupt changes in the membrane potential that sweep along the cell membrane of excitable cells in response to excitation stimuli is called Action potential.
The focus of my research is to find out whether the action potential (electrical impulse) is the CAUSE or EFFECT of signal propagation process in the nerve membrane. To this end, I work towards a realistic model of nerve pulse propagation incorporating the multi-physical properties involved in the natural phenomena.
